BlackBerry Key 2 with dual rear cameras, QWERTY keyboard launched: Price in India, specifications, and more

Optiemus Infracom, a BlackBerry brand licensee in India, on Monday launched the latest Android-powered smartphone, BlackBerry Key 2.  The new BlackBerry smartphone comes with a price in India that pegs it against some of the premium smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S9, Pixel 2, and even OnePlus 6.

The company claims that the BlackBerry Key 2 comes with the best of BlackBerry’s software and security features. Adding further, Optiemus Infracom has confirmed that it is manufacturing the BlackBerry Key 2 at its facility in Noida, doing its bit to support the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Talking about some highlight points, the BlackBerry Key 2 comes with dual rear cameras, 6GB of RAM, and runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo.

BlackBerry Key 2 price in India and launch offers

The BlackBerry Key 2 will be available online at Amazon India starting July 31 2018 at Rs. 42,990. To list some launch offers, the smartphone comes bundled with Reliance Jio cashback offer of Rs. 4,450 and ICICI bank cash back offer of 5 per cent.

BlackBerry Key 2 specifications

Running Android Oreo 8.1, the BlackBerry Key 2 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 6GB of RAM. It packs 64GB of storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 256GB.

The smartphone sports dual cameras at the back including two 12-megapixel sensors with 2x optical zoom. At the front, there’s an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Under the hood, the phone is backed by a large 3500mAh battery with quick charging support. The phone comes with fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, USB OTG, and NFC connectivity options.

The Key 2 also comes with Speed Key which is a universal shortcut key that makes it possible to instantly access apps.
The smartphone features a 4.5-inch touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The company has embedded fingerprint scanner in space bar.
