Is there anything that MS Dhoni is not good at? Well, it seems so! While the entire cricket loving nation is waiting eagerly for the eleventh season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), MS Dhoni seems to hone his playing skills – a twist in the tale; not his cricket but his football skills. The 36-year-old was seen at the practice session flaunting his soccer skills with Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Sports Physio Tommy Simsek.
While the others around the park looked on with amaze, Dhoni was seen engaged at the one-touch football keeping it off ground with finesse. With just one more to go for the glittery cricketing affair, Dhoni made it sure exactly how cool he is ahead of Chennai’s opener against defending Mumbai Indians. Taking to the official twitter handler, CSK tweeted, “CR7 nahi, MS7 bolo. @msdhoni vs @tommysimsek. Aaaand @russcsk.”
CSK is making a comeback into the IPL fold after a two-year suspension. And coming back into the tournament CSK boasts of a comprehensive unit in terms of batting. However, their lack of quality pacers might be a minor glitch in their 2018 IPL crusade. One of the most successful IPL franchise with two titles to its name and six final appearances, CSK restored Dhoni as their captain beside also retaining Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja.
CSK’s batting boasts of Faf du Plessis and Dwayne Bravo besides Shane Watson, Kedar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Murali Vijay and Sam Billings. While they let go Ravichandran Ashwin, they roped in another veteran Harbhajan Singh for Rs 2 crore. However, ahead of the season, they were hit by an upsetting news in the form of Mitchell Santner.
Chennai Super Kings complete squad: MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Dwayne Bravo.
