Former World No. 1 Carolina Marin admitted that she has to chalk out new ways everytime to get the better off ace Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal. The Spanish shuttle star was out with a hip injury sustained at the Hong Kong Open Superseries, but she has recovered and is leading the Hyderabad Hunters at the 3rd Season of the Premier Badminton League in Guwahati.
Speaking to Times of India, Marin expressed, “both players are strong and are really good. They are different types of players and I have to make new strategy each and every time I play against them.” (PBL: Sameer Verma win helps Mumbai Rockets outdo Delhi Dashers)
Marin quipped “Myself” when asked who’s tougher to compete against- Sindhu or Saina.
The reigning Olympic Champion had to sit out the Dubai World Superseries Finals but the world no. 4 has started her PBL campaign on a winning note.
o join the Hyderabad Hunters, Marin iterated, “I am looking forward to it after the injury. There are players around the world in the team and we have the potential to do well. It’s great to tutor them and see how they practice and how good they are. Also, it is fun for us to play in a team with different players from around the world.”
The shuttler expressed her opinion about PBL, “It’s really good for the fans and spectators because the tournament is really strong and there are quite a lot of tough players from around the world. It’s going to be very difficult for any team to win this tournament.”
