Mangaluru: Karnataka Agencies, a dealer of Mahindra Bolero handed over the vehicle to Shilpa, a single mother from Hassan, who successfully runs “Halli Mane Rotties”, on February 5. Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra had earlier offered Mahindra Bolero pick-up truck to her.
Impressed by the zeal and success of Shilpa’s business, and hearing of her desire to expand her business by adding another food truck, Mahindra has expressed his desire to invest in her business.
Presently, Shilpa is running her business in Mannagudda Prathap Nagar. After receiving the Bolero, speaking to media, she said that she had planned to expand her business and start a second unit of “Halli Mane Rotties” in the city.
“I have already identified a place in Kankanady to run Halli Mane Rotties second unit. MCC Chief Whip Shashidar Hegde and others have helped me. I have plan to expand my business after appointing people who are interested in the venture”, she said.
“When media persons asked me about the Anand Mahendra tweet, I couldn’t believe but when people from Karnataka Agencies came to my house, to collect the information, I was astonished and overwhelmed”, she added.
Karnataka Agencies CEO R C Rodrigues offered Mahindra Bolero keys to Shilpa on Monday. Santhosh Rodrigues, partner of Karnataka Agencies, Fortunate Serrao, HoD of Commercials, Shilpa’s brother Chiranjeevi, her parents Nagarathna and Chandrashekar were present.
